Orange Yogurt Shake

Great drink to have when the outside climate is hot !


Ingredients

2 cups plain low fat yogurt
1/4 cup raisin
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 cup honey or caster sugar
2 oranges ( slice & juice)
1 cup ice cube

Garnish
Orange zest

Blenad all the ingredients until it is a smoothie. Pour into individual glasses and serve immediately.

Apple Pie


Ingredients

Short Crust Pastry

2 1/2 cups (350gm) all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp granulated white sugar
1 cup (226gm) butter
1/4 to 1/2 cups ice water

To make the crust, mix flour and salt, cut the butter into the flour. Mix until it looks like coarse crumb. Sprinkle the ice water a tablespoon at a time until the dough is just moist to shape into a ball. Separate dough into 2 balls. One larger for the base and one for the top crust. Wrap in glad wrap plastic and let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, After that, take out and roll to fit your pie pan. Preheat the oven 425 degree F.

Apple Filling

6 apples peeled, cored and thinly slice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp corn flour

Mix apple with brown sugar, corn flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, salt in the pan. Spoon over the filling in the base crust. Put little dots of butter. Cover with top crust. Make any decorative edges or you can just press with fork all the way round. Dont forget to poke some holes on the top crust to let the steam out. Brush with egg yolk for that extra shine. Bake for about 50 minutes.

Garnish
Softly whipped cream or vanila ice cream



Kueh Teow Ladna


Bahan - Bahan

Kueh Teow
3 ulas bawang putih (dicincang halus)
1 ulas bawang putih (dihiris)
i ulas bawang merah (dihiris)
2 sudu besar kicap manis
2 sudu besar minyak
2 sudu kecil perasa knor
dada ayam (dipotong kecil)
1 lobak merah
2 sudu besar tepung jagung (dicampur sedikit air)
sawi
air ( mengikut keperluan)
2 biji telur (di pukul )
garam secukup rasa
cili api (jika suka pedas)

Cara-cara

Panaskan minyak dalam kuali, masukkan bawang putih yang dicincang ke dalam minyak dan goreng sehingga kuning, Masukkan kueh teow dan juga kicap manis. Kacau sehingga rata. Angkat dan letak di dalam bekas dan di ketepikan.

Panaskan sedikit minyak dalam periuk dan tumis bawang putih , bawang merah dan goreng sehingga garing. Masukkan ayam yang dipotong kecil. Bila ayam dah masak masukkan perasa ayam knor, air mengikut keperluan, dan lobak merah. Bila dah mendidih masukkan sawi , air tepung jagung , telur dan garam secukup rasa. Kacau sehingga sebati.

Setelah kuah mendidih, tutup api dan bolehlah dihilang bersama kueh teow.

Kueh Teow Ladna boleh dihidang bersama hirisan cili api dan kicap.

Heart Shaped Donuts



Ingredients


1000g all-purpose flour
11g (1 packet) dry yeast
340g (1 1/2 ) cups warm water
60g (2/3 cup) milk powder
2 eggs
180g (1 cup ) butter
60g (6 tbsp) castor sugar
5g (1 tsp) salt
14g (1 tbsp) baking powder
Icing sugar
Chocolate Rice / walnuts (optional)

Mix dry yeast and 1 tbsp sugar with warm water. In another bowl combine the eggs, butter, sugar , salt and mix well. Add the sifted baking powder, milk powder and flour into the bowl and after that knead for about 5-10 until it turns into a smooth shiny ball. Leave the ball of dough in the mixing bowl in a warm place. Cover with a damp, clean towel. Wait for the ball to expand twice its size. It takes only 30 minutes on a hot afternoon. Otherwise, wait further. The dough is ready when the indent you make does'nt spring back. Punch the big ball of dough. This is to remove air. Then, knead a bit and roll out to a floured surface. Gently roll dough 1cm thick with floured rolling pin. Cut with heart shape cutter. Keep a distance from each other. The dough will rise further. leave for about 30 minutes. You may end up with some leftovers tiny balls from the cutter. Keep them for frying as well. Fry until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain with kitchen towels. While the donuts are still hot dip into the icing sugar coating. For icing topping, mix the sugar with the water and stir. Then, dip half surface of the donut into the mixture. Finally sprinkle the chocolate rise or walnuts on the surface. Ready to serve.

Baguette Tuna


Ingredients

1 baguette (french bread)
1 can tuna in water (drained)
1 large onion (chopped)
3 tbsp mayonaise
2 tbsp butter
salt & pepper
Parsley flakes
Mozarella Cheese (optional)
Cut baguette into slices and spread each slice generously with butter. Mix tuna, onion, mayonaise, salt and pepper in one bowl. Scoop one spoon of the mixture and spread on the baguette. Place the baguettes on the baking pan and sprinkle parsley flakes , mozarella cheese and heat in the oven for 10 minutes. Ready to serve.

Masak Lemak Cili Api Daging Salai



1/2 kilo daging (rebus dan salai atas api dapur dan hiris nipis)
1 inci kunyit hidup (dikisar)
10 cili api (dikisar)
2 batang serai (di ketuk)
300 gm pati santan.
garam secukup rasa

Masukkan daging, serai (kunyit hidup, cili api yang telah di kisar bersama sedikit air)kedalam periuk sehingga mendidih anggaran dalam 10 minit . Masukkan pula pati santan , garam secukup rasa dan kacau supaya tidak pecah minyak selama 15 minit dan angkat. Sedia dihidangkan.

Firza's Chicken Tortilla Wrap


Ingredients

6 potatoes tortilla
3 hard boiled eggs (sliced)
2 tomatoes (sliced)
2 small onions (diced thinly)
Cooked chicken breast (Bbq, roasted or pan-fried),sliced
Shredded Cheese
Mayonnaise
Dash of paprika
Salad or lettuce leaves

Arrange all the ingredients in the middle of the tortilla and wrap it up.
Ready to serve.
