Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
(A)
1/3 cup brown sugar
5 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
(B)
1 packet active dry yeast
1 cup warm fresh milk
1 tsp white sugar
4 1/2 cups flour
Mix 3 tbsp brown sugar + 3 tsp cinnamon
Chopped Nuts
Combine ingredients (B) in a bowl. Mix ingredients (A) & ingredients (B) and stir for 2 to 3 minutes and add 2 cups of flour , stir again and add the balance flour. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Let the dough rise in a warm place for hour. After the dough risen once, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Flatten the dough with the palms of your hands and gently stretch or roll it into a rectangle. Use rolling pin to roll the dough . Spread the melted butter over the surface of the dough. Generously sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over the butter, spreading the mixture evenly across the whole sheet of dough.
Starting at the lefthand corner of edge closes to you. Working from left to right, tug the lip of dough up and over the filling, keeping it tight. Roll up the dough, tightening the log as you go.
Use a pastry cutter to cut the dough into pieces. Place the cut rolls on a greased pan sheet. Let the dough rise again and double in size, brush again with melted butter and sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar and chopped nuts on top of the dough. Bake them in the preheated 180 degrees C oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
Serve hot immediately. ( The best Cinnamon Rolls I've ever tasted ! )
